Description: This is a steel cigarette case from World War I with a unique design that showcases the artistry of German soldiers during the era. The case is a rare find and would make a great addition to any militaria collection. The case was issued during the war and has an interesting history behind it. The design features a medallion with a Royal Crown and the phrase "got mitt uns", G-d is With Us; which was a popular German phrase during the war and adds a personal touch to the item. Although previously used, the Case is in good condition except for a missing tiny pin ( an amateur jeweler or metal worker can replace it ) which locks the case shut. Right now it will not lock closed, This rare case is complete with two spring retainers to hold the cigarettes in place. Hinge on the case is in excellent condition.
