Both items are in like new condition - the knife block is too large for my countertops and I have never figured out how to use a sharpening steel (this item has never been used), so I am selling it with the knife block that it came with; since, the sharpening steel is not marked with the Wusthof brand log I thought it was important to show you a photo of the box this set came in, where you can see this exact same model of sharpening steel as part of the Wusthof set (see photos 14 & 15). The Wusthof knife block measures 10 1/8" long x 3 1/2" wide x 7 7/8" tall. All of the photos you see in this listing are of the actual items you will receive, I do not use stock photos.
