The core melee troops are blocks of Dwarf Warriors armed with either axes and shields, or two-handed axes, including options for two full command groups. They're supported by an equal number of soldiers with ranged weapons, which can be built as crossbow-wielding Quarrellers, or Thunderers with handguns, also including options for two full command sections. You'll also find two Gyrocopters, which can alternatively be built as Gyrobombers, to rain artillery fire down from the skies to knock out your toughest enemies.
