Description: Vintage Red Painted Glass Coffee Hoosier-Style Jar with Black Metal Lid. This glass jar is typical of those found in kitchens in the 1930s to 1950s and is often called a Hoosier to fit into a Hoosier cabinet. Note: The jar is not marked Hoosier. It has been painted red on the outside with a black and gold label marked Coffee. The screw on lid is painted black. The jar has some ridging in the rounded corners. No manufacturer markings are seen but there is an embossed underlined '6' on the bottom. The jar is a red/orange color. Measures 7-1/4" high x 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" and weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces unpackaged. The lid has paint loss and rust but it screws on tight. The jar has scuffs, scratch marks, paint loss and white paint on one side. The inside of the jar is clean. Being sold "AS IS."
