Description: Please add $10 for shipping and handling for this item and we do combine on shipping whenever possible. Here we have an extremely scarce piece of Frank Sinatra memorabilia. There are very few souvenirs of Frank Sinatra's Cal Neva Lodge & Casino in Crystal Bay, Nevada. This round, clear glass ashtray is in wonderful condition, sporting Sinatra's name right at the top. Although Cal-Neva Lodge memorabilia can found fairly easily, pieces with Sinatra's name are very rare. Measurements: 4 1/2" diameter Condition: No chips or cracks. There are mold marks from manufacturing, which are normal. The center is in wonderful condition with no visible wear. A Little History: Built in 1926, the Cal Neva burned down in a fire in 1937. The structure was rebuilt in only 30 days. In 1960, entertainer Frank Sinatra purchased the resort with several others, including singer Dean Martin and Chicago mobster Sam Giancana. Frankie owned the Cal-Neva Lodge from 1960 until 1963, when its gaming license was temporarily revoked due to mob ties. The Cal Neva became a famous resort attracting the rich and famous, including Sinatra's fellow Rat Pack crowd to the California / Nevada Stateline. Marilyn Monroe spent her final weekend at the Cal-Neva Lodge before passing away in Los Angeles in August 1962.
