Description: For sale is this vintage blacksmith hand forged top swage hammer head for 3/4" round stock, weighing 1lb.15.4 ounces. Unsigned, it measures 3-1/2" long, with a 1-9/16" wide X 1-1/2" tall octagonal face, with a 1-5/8" wide end, with a 3/4" wide groove for round stock, with a 9/16" X 1-1/8" eye. It is in good overall condition, showing use and wear, with a rough and rugged patina, with no personal markings from previous owners. The 15-13/16" long wood handle is tight to the head, but with a crack underneath the head. Please view all of the pictures to determine condition for yourself.
