Description: For sale is a vintage SPONG ViniCool (transparent light brown color with gold trims) acrylic wine cooler, Made in England (in the 1970s). Your cold (standard size - 750 ml) wine bottle will stay chilled for a couple of hours or so when placed inside this double walled holder, without any need for ice. This information is on the base of this item: "SPONG ViniCool, REG. DESIGN 991271, PAT. No UK APP. 2057249. MADE IN ENGLAND" We got this item a few decades ago. This wine cooler was rarely used. It is about 4.75" in diameter at the top (opening), about 5" in diameter in the middle and about 9" tall. It is in excellent condition. Besides a very small (not easily noticeable) scuff on the gold trim at the top and at the same position on the mid-ring (from storage), there's no chips, cracks or repairs.The photos are of the actual item.
