Description: This Yei Style Navajo rug by weaver Philomena Yazzie is very unusual in that it is esentially a rug in a rug - 2 different styles of rug are represented in it. The inner field contains six female Yei figures holding eagle feathers with feathers hanging down. I have seen these described as symbols for rain. These figures are placed on a back ground of pink. Instead of the usual border consisting of a Rainbow Guardian, saw tooth, or geometric design, it has a Wide Ruins style border. The rug measures 54" long x 39" tall. Likely woven in the 1980s It is in very good condition with no holes, moth damage, or odors. Comes from a non-smoking, pet free home. Both sides are pictured. Please note that this rug will be shipped USPS Signature Confirmation and will be folded.
