Description: VINTAGE GEKKO KAMEN (MOONLIGHT MASK) DECAL TRANSFER PACK Released in the ‘70s by Showa Laminate Co., Ltd. The title of the package says, “Magic Print.” Package (measures ~5” x 9”) contains five sheets filled with images from the Japanese manga series, “Gekko Kamen (Moonlight Mask).” Japanese text. Instructions below title essentially says, “Please remove the back side paper & strip the cellophane while rubbing the picture with your nail carefully. *Note: Never lick or apply water.” Perhaps one of the rarest items that I’ve ever offered. I haven’t been able to find very much information about these. Gekko Kamen was Japan’s first live-action television superhero in the late 1950s. The manga appeared shortly after the show first aired & much of it was illustrated by a young Jiro Kuwata, co-creator of 8 Man. There may have been other decal sets available with different colored packaging cards (e.g. Red, Blue or Green). The item offered here is the Red assortment. Condition is Very Fine/Near Mint or better. New & never opened. Please see photos. Will be shipped in a hard cardboard mailer.
