This is an imperfect pair of glasses definitely were worn, but if you look at them, it almost looks as if they were made for somebody uniquely special. It looks like the glass part was chipped or broken but if you look at the hardware, it kinda looks like it was made this way on purpose. Somehow, through the course of history, they made their way here, to Augusta, Georgia re discovered at a local estate sale. I’d say they’d had a beautiful journey. I thought it would be interesting to look up the optometrist. I was right, I found his obituary. He was very handsome. His story was a wonderful read.
