Description: This sale is for a hard-to-find Electrophonic / Fet brand Solid State AM / FM / FM Multiplex stereo receiver from the early 1970s. Model PKT3296. I believe this was manufactured by Matsushita. Modular system includes Garrard 2025TC turntable & 8 track player. System is in preowned working condition (with assorted issues noted in detail below) and in shockingly good cosmetic condition considering the age. System features very sensitive, well-functioning FM tuner. Sound quality comes through on left and right channels well. See below for additional notes on device functionality: General Notes: Volume adjustment causes static crackle and channel fade on right channel--potentiometer likely needs a cleaning Every light but the green "stereo" light is burnt out. Device tested well across phono, FM, FM stereo, and tape inputs. Record out & 8 track player are untested Original Dust Cover has 6" crack along the top Turntable Notes:The 4-speed Garrard 2025TC is equipped with a 78rpm stylus that skipped a lot under testing. When not skipping, 78rpm playback sounded good. Stylus likely needs replacement. Garrard auto-start/stop feature not functioning. Garrard platter spins well across all four speeds. Given the age and assorted issues than render this modular system less than perfect, this device is sold as-is with no returns offered. Shipping is via lowest-cost ground service with tracking.
