In 1958 Corning Glass introduced their first Pyroceram cookware called Blue Cornflower. The Pyroceram formula was adjusted and a new line of dinnerware was made to compliment the cookware. In 1970 Corelle was introduced. One of the first patterns offered was the Butterfly Gold. All the bowls are marked on the bottom with: Corelle by Corning Corning, NY USA Not for Broiler or Stovetop USA.
