Vintage Case XX USA 1836 model large bowie knife, leather brass sheath 9+" blade

Description: Vintage Case XX USA, 1836 model, large Bowie knife with heavy leather & brass sheath. The blade is in nice, very good condition, very sharp and has some faint scratches/handling marks. All the brass on the knife and sheath needs polishing and cleaning. The handle needs polishing and the leather needs cleaning and conditioning. The blade, sheath parts, snap and all knife parts work, are straight and tight. With polishing and maintenance the knife would look much better. On the front of the sheath are some indentions in the leather and there are some fraying stitching on the sheath (both are cosmetic only). See photos for overall condition, size and description.
