Description: This is a vintage Case 6220 “Peanut” pattern pocket knife. The tang stamp is CASE XX 1940-1964.The knife is 2-3/4” closed with brass liners and pinned oval CASE shield. The blade steel is CV (carbon) steel.Both blades have strong snap with half stops.Both blades are tight with no side-to-side wobble.Classic XX era red bovine bone handles have great color, no cracks or damage.Used, carried, very lightly sharpened. Both blades are full with light scratches, patina, and staining as the photos show. The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone. Genus/Species - Bos indicus or Bos taurus indicus.
