Description: Vintage Bradley & Hubbard Heavy Cast Iron Black Labrador Retriever NutcrackerThis heavy, cast iron black Labrador Retriever nutcracker was made by Bradley & Hubbard of Meriden, Connecticut and has a bit of oxidation here and there, which adds a distinct patina for a vintage look. The nutcracker was popular from the early to mid-1900s, and works by placing a nut in the dog’s mouth and cracking it by pushing down its tail, which is marked “24H”. This sweet pup is quite heavy, and weighs 4 pounds 4.3 ounces, is 10 ¼” long from his snout to the tip of his tail, 1 ¾” wide from ear to ear, and 5 1/8” tall. The base is 7 ¼” long by 4 ¾” wide. Please make sure to examine all photos carefully, remembering to zoom in for details, and don't hesitate to contact me for additional photos and/or information.
