Vintage 1990s Electro Voice RE50B / RE50 dynamic microphone w accessories # 1

Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a 1990's era (possibly newer) Electro Voice RE-50B Dynamic omni-directional microphone with great sound quality and rugged construction. This was originally intended as a general broadcasting mic and was often seen used in live t.v interviews with many news agencies. Also great for general broadcasting. It comes with the mic clip shown as well as a black vinyl mic pouch. Pic # 2 shows an RE-50/B and RE-50/ND along with their basic characteristics. This RE-50B model mic has been manufactured for about 30 + years now and is a very durable model that didn't cost buyers an arm and a leg. It's ultra light weight for it's size and the design never really changed with the exception of the color of paint used over the years. All RE-50B model mics were set at 150 OHMS which is technically low impedance but many mics vary at that setting and I can honestly say that all RE-50's I have ever heard are very mid range in sound. Very lite on the bass. This one shown is no different. The signal strength is quite strong though. This RE-50B shows a bit of wear overall but in above average condition. The mic itself is free of any fractures or dents but there is a couple small scratches and several lite scuff marks. The mics front screen look very nice with zero dents, odors or tarnish. The original inner foam pop filter is in excellent condition and does a great job of preventing "pops" while speaking into the mic. The label shows no wear and completely legible. This RE-50B is an easy 7 + cosmetically speaking on a scale of 1 - 10. Some would rate much higher however. The XLR pins on this mic were cleaned ensuring a perfect connection once and XLR cable is attached. No XLR cable is provided however. Everything is real tight on this RE-50B. Nothing loose. As you can see there is a matching ebony black E.V mic clip included that shows lite wear but works excellent. This mic clip grips the mic firmly and will screw onto and mic stand you have. This mic also comes with the nice black E.V vinyl mic pouch to keep the mic safe from wear when not in use. The mic pouch shows almost no wear and the zipper works great.
