Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a unique microphone made by Electro Voice during the 1960's and 70's. Made right here in the U.S.A 50 + years ago this chunky, little mic has a polished chrome body with an off white plastic head and comes with a short cable in which to operate. Pic # 2 shows this very model and it's basic characteristics in an older E.V catalog from the 1970's. A great mic for "general broadcasting" purposes as it's set at Hi Z and built like a tank. A very rugged mic best applied for P.A operation or just about any public / live situation. These also make excellent harp mics do to it's high impedance setting have a dirty, muddier tone. Very "rockabilly" in nature. Signal is 100%. Strong and clear. The front grill has a chrome mesh screen free of any damage and there is a black plastic bezel that shows typical lite wear for a mic of this age. The mics body has just lite wear and looks very good overall as does the E.V 607 badge on the rear. The threading for both the cable and the stand is in excellent shape. This mic will screw onto any American desk or floor stand as well. This 607 is solid. No loose parts inside or out and all original. Comes with a short vintage screw on cable which you will need to operate this microphone. The cable is soft, pliable and free of damage. It's just 7 inches inches long and has the quality Switchcraft male XLR end connector. Simply attach any longer XLR cable of choice as an extension to the short one provided and you're good to go. Just leave the short cable on the mic at all times as it's far more practical. MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.
