Description: A beautiful example of a vintage 1960s to early 1970s Swiss Titoni Cosmo King 25 Jeweled wristwatch. Titoni is one of the oldest Swiss watch companies that remains family owned to this day. While most Swiss watch brands marketed heavily in Europe and the United States, Titoni focused more on Asia. It has been said that Titoni was the "Rolex" of Asia. The Cosmo King and Airmaster were, and still to this day, were two of their most sought after models. This watch is powered by a robust and reliable ETA 2452 Automatic, Swiss-made movement, with functioning date complication. The date is semi-quickset, as you can reverse the time to 8:30pm, and then advance to midnight to switch to the next day, without having to advance through a full 24hrs. Seller restored and serviced October 2024, replacing the gaskets and mainspring, full disassembly, cleaning and lubrication. Beautiful, stainless steel case, lightly polished to reflect age. Some superficial scratches on case, and the case back has deeper scratches that could not be polished out without removing too much material. Black dial with applied markers and a decorative stone is in great shape and the stainless hands have original black paint and lume, which is inert. The acrylic, armoured crystal, was kept and polished. New, vintage-styled, stitched, Bison Watch Bands tan leather quick-release strap, with stainless buckle. This is a beautiful watch that I contemplated keeping for my personal collection, but I can't keep them all. Also, due to the age of these watches they cannot be held to the accuracy standards of modern built watches.
