It is issued by Opelika Coke Bottling Plant in Alabama and written out to:Standard Oil Company, dated 10/13/1947. It is in excellent condition, especially for the age of 76 years old. It measures 8.5" x 3". What makes this check a unique piece of Coca Cola memorabilia are the titans of business & industry involved in this one transaction. Obviously there’s Coke…and Standard Oil post-breakup. But on the backside you’ll notice the check was deposited to The First National Bank in Birmingham, Al.
