Description: Offering a vintage 1940's, WW2 era dynamic microphone, model DPL, made by Grampian, Middlesex, England. Grampian is the same brand microphone used by Winston Churchill when he delivered his historical speech on VE day 1945, marking the end of the War in Europe! This well engineered microphone employs a very iron magnet in its original factory moving coil element, still producing the same sound as it did about 80 years ago! The casing mas been externally restored, so it's in near flawless condition with the brand GRAMPION embossed across the front grill. The on-off switch works as it should, had the original proprietary 3 pin mic connector, and the mic is mounted to an equally vintage metal desk stand with pivot joint and padded base. This mic will look quite smart on display, or in use, with strong output and clear vintage tone. (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.) A new 6 foot cable is hardwired to the mic with a male XLR plug. Mic with stand measures 10" tall, top to bottom. Given the historical significance and working condition, this would make a nice addition to anyone's serious vintage mic collection. Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. We offer combined shipping. ** ** WE BUY YOUR OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY UPDATED REGULARLY **** Click on my eBay username for details. (Text or call.)
