This boost controller is great for golf carts, electric vehicles, and any application where you need to boost up voltage to charge. The solar array voltage must be lower than the battery voltage. The controller will boost up the charging voltage to match the batteries. I personally have used this item to charge an older inefficent resistor type Club Car DS 36 volt golf cart with 250 watts of solar panels installed on the roof wired as a 12v array. We use the golf cart daily on our small horse rescue. We never have to use the plugin charger except for the winter months, and then only once a week or so. We are located in North Florida. It will work to boost charge to the following voltages: 24v ,36v, 48v, 60v, 72v. The unit comes with an instruction sheet that has nice visuals, but it is in chinese. However connections and operation is intuitive. The connections to the battery and solar array are well marked. Remove the plastic film from the back before installing.
