Description: Offered is the vintage book "The Life of Abraham Lincoln, Volume II", written by Ida M. Tarbell and published in 1924 by the Lincoln History Society in New York. This volume of the four-book "Sangamon" edition by the "muckraker" journalist has many black and white photos and illustrations. The book is approx. 9" x 6" and contains 228 pages. It is in good condition overall. The hard embossed burgundy cover has only light wear but does have a small area of what might be clear glue on the front and another small area of what looks like whiteout on the back. The gold facsimile signature of Lincoln on the front is still mostly shiny but the gold words on the spine are partially faded. There is cracking inside the front cover but not in the back. The picture endpapers are clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have browned somewhat and there is occasional light foxing. I see no writing in the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them! Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
