Tyree made a leaping pass to catch the ball against his helmet. This 32 yard gain led to a drive that allowed the Giants to win the game 17-14. The pass was named the Helmet Catch, and the play was called "the greatest play the Super Bowl has ever produced" by NFL Films Founder Steve Sabol, and "The play of the decade (2000s)" by NFL Films. Fox Sports lists this pass as the greatest play in Super Bowl history. NBC Sports and NFL.com listed this play as The Greatest Super Bowl play of all time. This was also the final catch of Tyree's NFL career.This ball is certified by The New York Football Giants Ethan Medley, the current Director Of Community Relations. He was the 2002-2010 Asst.
