Description: This stunning E. Challinor PELEW pattern flow blue 9 3/4” plate was produced between 1842 and 1867 when according to Gaston’s Flow Blue reference book this particular mark was used. The plate is in excellent condition with a very deep flow and a bright and shiny surface throughout. There are no major cracks, chips, or repairs. The plate appears to have been used sparingly. The center of the plate has minimal utensil marks that are most evident when the plate is angled towards the light. There is are several very minor chips on the outer edge of the rim (see photo) and fine overall crazing on the reverse. These blemishes are typical on plates of this age. It would make a fine addition to any flow blue collection. We are offering free shipping for this item.
