Not, that is, if you want it to bash harder and last longer, and that's just what these CNC machined, anodized aluminum arms allow you to do. For smooth suspension operation, the hinge-pin holes are fitted with machined delrin inserts. The A-arms now come with heat-treated carbon steel polished lock-nut style hinge-pins.
