Description: For sale is a vintage photo that was signed by Ken Curtis, who played Festus Haggen on the popular western television series Gunsmoke. The autograph was obtained when Curtis appeared at the annual Hadi Shrine Circus in Evansville, Indiana, in either November 1967 or November 1972; Curtis was the headliner at the annual Thanksgiving-weekend event is both years. The actor personalized the signature “To Robbie.” Curtis died in 1991, at age 74. The photo is on a paper handout that measures 4 by 5 inches. It is in very good condition, with a creased corner. Curtis’ signature is quite hard to find and highly coveted by collectors, particularly in his role as Festus. See my items for other items.
