The rim that encircles the music box is covered with a relief of ocean life, including sun moon and stars and two different kinds of weathervanes, one being a dolphin and one being a rooster. The rim also shows pink sparkly rhinestones. This seaside setting is set up on a hill that leads with the ocean onto a beach and then to the top of a hill where there is a two-story house, possibly Victorian, with a giant weather vain on top of it and stairs leading to the side of it where two little boats are waiting. This is truly a unique piece. The intricate details of the kaleidoscope design are sure to captivate anyone who loves the ocean or country living, making it a great conversation starter. The music box works great. This item is in great shape. NOTE: This item has been repaired. Two of the pink stones on the back side have been replaced. A small part of the Bush has been chipped away up towards the house it has to be painted properly now and blended in. The weather vane on top of the house had been broken off both sides of the arrow, and the rooster have been re affixed and touched up with paint. A small area to the right of the chimney had broken. It is now a golden color. With these repairs, it has been restored to its former glory and can be a joy for years to come. The brass parts have some age spots. Please see pictures.
