This machine was made in the USA (or the UK) but sold in Canada with the "Made in Canada" decal. Some of the parts on the machine like the motor were possibly made in Canada so that Singer could add that decal and circumvent import charges. "THEY'VE ONLY SEEN 1 WITH MADE IN CANADA DECAL STAMPED ON THE BACK OF THE ARM! This machine was professionally serviced by a trained technician and is fully 110 volts so it's ready to use in the USA or Canada without the use of any type of converter! Condition notes:This machine came from the original owner's family!! She sounds heavenly with her 110 volt motor and sews an absolutely beautiful stitch! This machine was a workhorse and shows lot of love and use on her finish! She has wear on her including: pin marks, shellac chips and blemishes, fading, scuffs, marks, scratches and wear & tear throughout. This is not a shelf queen Featherweight, so if you're looking for a museum Featherweight, this gal is not for you.This Canadian Gal was used to create lots of memories and projects! The gold decals show some fading, marks, discoloration and wear & tear throughout from usage over the years. The Singer Featherweight motor is in outstanding vintage condition, is fast and runs great! The motor belt is a brand new Superbelt from The Featherweight Shop.The vintage original Singer Featherweight Type IV-UK #2 carrying case & top tray are in excellent vintage condition.The carrying case has scratches, scuffs, rips/tears and general wear throughout but is still very sturdy and one of the better looking cases around.The original owner repaired a front latch by attaching it with black screws. The latch works just as it should. The 221K owners manual is in good vintage condition but has staining, taping, rips/tears and general wear throughout but is still usable.The vintage Singer foot pedal was cleaned, freshly rewired, adjusted and tested. It's in excellent vintage condition.The vintage Singer attachments are in excellent vintage condition.The Singer attachment box has wear and tear throughout but is still in good vintage condition.This machine is ready to sew right out of the box! Serial number EE811146Birth date somewhere around 1948. I'm unable to pin down an exact manufacturing date.This gal is around 76 years young!
