CONDITION is NEAR FINE, in GOOD+ dust jacket, in new Brodart Mylar jacket protector. Dust jacket is not price-clipped, and remains "whole" despite notable wear at extremities, especially spine ends and folds, and one large (1.5") closed tear to center-top of front panel. All original text and images are present and complete, and jacket has been preserved in a new Brodart jacket protector. Book is quarter-bound in cream cloth at spine and hinges, with cream color paper boards, front board bearing embossed monogram initials "RC" with gilt inlay, and gilt titles to spine. Book is unmarked / unaltered within, save for author's signature in ink to verso of front fly. Boards are clean and straight, corners sharp, all titles very fine and bright; some very mild age-toning and light shelf wear to bottom edge of boards evident, but otherwise quite fine. Binding is very sound & square, and remains reasonably tight. Mild foxing evident to all three out-facing edges of text block, but within text block is undiminished and "as new," with clean, bright, crisp leaves throughout. Small smudge or stain present to top-center of front fly leaf (above signature), but otherwise no defects, alterations, or other signs of use or handling whatsoever within. This uncommon volume is a spectacular example of an irreproducible memento of historic significance in Near-Fine overall condition; preserved thusly, it would be a treasured, valuable, and display-worthy addition to any serious library or collection!
