A tight firm clean book in ornately tooled pale gray cloth-covered hard boards with a color pastedown, 7 7/8" x " x 5 1/8" x 387 clean pages of marvelous fiction from Meredith Nicholson - a member of the Golden Age of Literature in Indiana at the turn of the 20th Century. Grosset and Dunlap were primarily reprinters of other publishers' books. Here is one of the early G & D reprints of immensely popular literature of the era. Clean, tight, firm, moderate wear, just a bit of compression at the extremities. Two tiny brown spots, top front board. Overall Good - Very Good condition, with no dust jacket - a colorful pastedown instead. No looseness, No mustiness, No smoke smell. No names, No other markings.
