Description: An absolutely striking vase by Katherine Jones who decorated for the Rookwood Pottery Company during the years 1924 through 1931. She became known for beautiful floral designs in the decorated matte glaze style. This beautiful example exhibits a band of blue florals circling the shoulder below the top rim with a well executed mottled background glaze. The color combination gives the impression of a lavender hue when looking at the piece from a distance. On the bottom the standard Rookwood logo, year of production 1927, shape number 604F and the artist cipher are clearly visible. The vase stands 6” tall and spans almost 4 1/4” across the broadest region of the body. In pristine condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. The inside is clean showing no staining from use. This vase will be double boxed, shipped UPS ground, fully insured at a fixed price. An absolutely wonderful example to add to any art pottery collection. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future. Thank you.
