Description: Gorgeous Antique Wall Lamp Beautiful restored condition! An original fixture from the early 1900's. It has been rewired, new sockets installed, the paint refreshed, working well and ready to hang. Made of heavy, solid cast iron with a beautiful silver and black painted finish that makes all the details stand out. No chips or cracks in the fixture. An eye-catching, unique beauty. We believe it was made by the Markel Company based on the style of the fixture, the way the letters are stamped "Pat Appl'd For" on the back, and the shape of the holders below the candles. The switch on the front of the sconce is new and working great. Use 2 standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like. The 25 watt bulbs shown ARE INCLUDED, however they aren't brand new bulbs so we can't say how much life is left in them. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art.
