These cartridges were given away as part of a 1960's marketing campaign by the Railway Express Agency (REA) promoting their overnight "Silver Bullet Service" running between Baltimore and Boston. This campaign was based on a small part of the Lone Ranger storyline, but was not associated with any Lone Ranger product line. This unique Remington production cartridge features a head stamp that reads: "HI-YO REA AWAAAY", it has a dummy primer with a hole in it, a nickel plated .45 Colt casing and a .45 cal. bullet. This is NOT real ammunition. These cartridges are inert, there is NO gun powder, and the primer contains NO chemicals that cause ignition.
