Description: These knives were made during WW1 and intended to be boot knives used for close quarters trench combat. Sheath has some surface rust but is good condition considering the elements it has faced. This sheath does not appear to be dented as most are due to boot use. The knife slides into the scabbard easily. This item has not been cleaned or sharpened to retain all of its patina. This is not a reproduction item, please pay special attention to the markings in the photo's.
