RARE "STRUCK-THROUGH" 2 EURO COIN! NO DAMAGE, MINT ERROR! SEE 60X MAGNIFICATION!

Description: 2002 2 euro circulation coin from Germany (J - Hamburg Mint) with a VERY RARE MINT-MADE ERROR! On the obverse, the coin is crossed by two straight parallel lines, one wider than the other, that run from above the rim on the top of the left wing of the eagle down to the bottom of the right wing, stopping at the end of the golden core before the silver ring. This kind of error is known as STRUCK-THROUGH and occurs when a foreign object finds its way between the die and the planchet; the object is then pressed into the coin leaving a mark on it, sometimes even remaining embedded into the coin. In this case it was most probably a piece of metal or a wire, which left behind this mark that looks like a fissure at naked eye but that's actually raised and composed of two parallel lines. In the photos made through a microscope at 60x magnification, it's clearly visible that the lines haven't been made with a sharp object above the design, because they don't cross the lines of the wings, they just run among them. Also, from the magnified pictures it's evident that the lines are not scratches cut into the coin, they are raised. This obviously couldn't happen if the lines were made above the design after the minting process, accidentaly or with a sharp tool, because they would have passed above the whole design, crossing the lines of the wings and cutting through them. Also, if the lines were scratches, they would not be raised, but carved into the metal! Therefore, the coin design has been IMPRINTED ABOVE THE FOREIGN OBJECT! The coin has not been altered in any way and the lines, as shown, are not the result of wear from circulation or post-mint damage -intentional or not. This kind of error is VERY SOUGHT AFTER by collectors worldwide! Don't fall for all the fake "error coins" sold online at outrageous prices, like the infamous Greek 2 euro with the S in the star!
