Description: Here is a Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Leaf Dish with Handle. This is a rare and wonderful piece, the same size and design as number 1/149 (this dish was produced before the adoption of the blue fluted numbering system around 1894). This is the medium size (of 3) of these rare and highly sought after leaf dishes. The dish is factory first quality, made and hand painted in Denmark in the late 1800s, before 1894. It is expertly painted by painter number 12. The dish is a lovely shape and size. It is approximately 4 1/2 inches long (including the handle), approximately 3 1/2 inches wide and ~1 1/4 inches tall. There is some wear / grinding at one place along the edge of the dish. See final photos in particular. It appears to me that this area may have been professionally ground down (perhaps to smooth a small chip). I see no other apparent damages. No chips or cracks or other repair. I do not see glaring scratches on the surface of the dish. There are normal discrete small firing marks / pin holes in glaze from factory production on this antique piece. It is a rare and special piece that deserves its place in any collection. Please examine the photos and description and reach out with any questions! Carefully packaged in non-smoking, no pets household, and shipped domestically with USPS.
