Stephens and the President of the bank is H.C. White. This bank chartered on May 9, 1902, taking the name, “The First National Bank of Latonia, Kentucky”. This bank issued 6,669 small size Nationals, from1929 thru July of 1935 when the note issuing period ended. With that very small issue, it is very likely that most of the notes on this bank are already known to collectors! Besides having a very small issue, Latonia is a one bank town!! The note has four even margins, with dirt evenly on both sides of the note. The back of the note does seem to have more dirt than the front. I do not see any rips, tears, splits or pinholes in this note. I grade this note as a solid Fine, but you look at the scans and judge the quality for yourself. The Kelly Census shows 6 small size notes reported on this bank, 3 of these notes are $10.00 Type 1’s, 1 is a $10.00 Type-2, 1 is a $20.00 Type 1, and 1 is a $20.00 Type-2. This note is new to the census, the new owner can decide whether they want to report it. This rare note would make a fine addition to any Kentucky State banknote collection. The bank was located in Kenton County. This note should appeal to those collecting that County and its surrounding areas.
