Description: This is 15" x 11". It is a souvenir copy of the MONTGOMERY ADVERTISER Newspaper commemorating the 100th anniversary of the state capital being moved to Montgomery. This copy comes with a blue cover that was presented to PETER A. BRANNON. There is a letter inside that was signed by Guyton Parks (I assume with the Advertiser) and dated 1946, that requests that this be given to Mr. Brannon, who was the curator/archivist at the AL Dept of Archives and History for a number of years and wrote a column for the Advertiser related to Alabama history. Unique piece of Alabama history. Some age browning, but otherwise good condition. aa
