The medium in liquid phase is formulated with the modified substrates of BAM Media M132 which support growth of Salmonella against both high and low levels of competitive microflora. Thoroughly swab a standard 12 x 12 in area of interest for a typical surface. 4. Insert the swab into the test tube. 5. Screw the cap on tightly. 6. Incubate at 35 - 37 C for 18 - 24 hours. If incubator is not available, incubate at room temperature (72 - 75 F or 22 - 24 C) for 40 - 48 hours 7. After incubation, invert the test tube 3 - 4 times and then read the color just below Tube line 2.
