Description: Hi, This auction is for a REALLY nice K Star R Simon & Halbig baby doll with a bisque head and bent leg composition body which is in excellent condition. Original paint even the paint between the fingers and toes is in great condition. Great facial color retention, great painted lashes, and brows. Her eye lashes (the ones attached to the sleep eyes) are still present and in very good condition. Sleep eyes work well and the eyes are set neatly. Baby is dressed in an antique doll sized Christening gown with a white long slip, a white flannel diaper, white flannel undershirt with a flannel piece to tuck around the doll’s waist that I think is to keep the diaper in place. No bonnet, but she is so pretty that she doesn’t need one. Human hair wig with the original pate with the hair tucked in the middle of the pate. The only flaw is there is some kind of white reindeer on one side of her head. It is not a wig pull. I tried to gently clean it off and it is better, bot still there. Glue? Plaster? You can feel it is raised above the bisque. Minimal, but wanted to mention it and there is also a photo. I have sold and collected dolls for 40 years and this doll is in wonderful condition and such a cutie. The photos should show you the rest of the details.
