Description: This is an authentic 19th century manilla, probably made in Birmingham, England in the 1840s or1850s. Manillas were used for trade in West Africa. They are often associated with the slave trade, although it is not likely that the late period manillas like this one had any involvement with that. Inspired by the #blexit movement in 2020, less than a half dozen of these were counterstamped on one side LEAVE THE DEMOCRAT PLANTATION and on the other side TRUMP.
