Description: Nice, original and unissued USA WW2 American Defense Service Medal, Ribbon, and Buttonhole badge set still in the Quartermaster issue box. Buttonhole badge is still in waxed paper wrapping. Ribbon has brass bar and brooch with locking catch. The medal is an early crimp brooch, with pin fastener and locking catch. These all appear new and unissued; however, the ribbon on the medal has a little discoloration on the obverse side of the top bar. I am not sure if this will clean up. It may have been acquired under less-than-ideal storage conditions. Box is from 1945 contract year. A nice set and great addition to any collection. We always combine postage costs on our auctions.
