In the posters, Suryaninov found his recognizable style and manner, they show the desire for the utmost conciseness, the desire to clearly express the main idea. Many of these posters have gained wide popularity, have been reprinted more than once, exhibited at many Russian and foreign exhibitions. And the poster dedicated to the World Congress of Women became its emblem. Starting from the beginning of the 60s, with his friend and colleague artist Konstantin Ivanov, he made numerous creative trips to Lake Baikal, the Murmansk region, the Northern Dvina, Pechora, and the Chuisky tract. The main theme in the artist's graphics is the people and nature of the Russian North; locals, fishermen, hunters, lumberjacks and carpenters. In his works he conveys the originality and immensity of the boundless northern nature, the originality of architectural monuments, the strength and power of people's characters. In these small works, the age-old nature of the North is masterfully displayed, the absence of vanity in it, its purity, restraint, when every detail points to mysterious and majestic phenomena (“On the Kola Peninsula”, 1970; “White Sea. Ebb”, 1972; “Vyatka land ", 1975; "Chernaya Village", 1975; "Locals", 1979; "Barns", 1979; "Last Way", 1979; "Thrush", 1979; "Haymaking", 1980) Since 1956, he has been constantly exhibiting his works at Moscow, republican, all-Russian and foreign exhibitions. R. V. Suryaninov participated in group exhibitions with K. K. Ivanov and M. I. Kheifits (1962, 1966, 1977). Since 1967, personal exhibitions of Ruben Suryaninov have been held in Moscow.
