Description: This old stoneware jar has a label reading - Heinze Apple Butter, made of select tart apples... and Guaranteed by H.J. Heinze Co the (Pure Food) and Drug Act June 30, 1906. Manufactured by H.J. Heinze Co. Pittsburgh. The label has areas of loss, mostly on the right side. The lid is marked - No. 2 The Weir Pat Mar. 1st '92, April 16, 1901. The lid has a chip on it's rim where the metal bar comes across. Measures 8 1/8" tall. A nice early Heinze item. Thanks for looking. Don't forget to see my other listings.
