Description: Priceless Egyptian Heritage: An Old 1975 Egyptian Pound This Egyptian pound banknote from 1975 holds immense historical and sentimental value. The front side features a central image of the Mosque of Sultan Qaitbay, framed by an elaborate border. In the top left corner, in Arabic, is the denomination: "1 Egyptian Pound." In the top right, a small serial number is also in Arabic. At the bottom right, both the denomination and serial number are repeated in Arabic but in a fainter print. The denomination is also printed faintly in Arabic at the top left and bottom left of the mosque. The serial number is printed in red at the bottom left of the mosque, followed by the denomination in Arabic. Below that, it states "Cairo, 15 April 1975," indicating the date and place of printing. Further down, the Central Bank of Egypt is mentioned, along with the name of the governor, Ahmed Zeizo. The back of the note features an image of the left half of the Abu Simbel temple, specifically the two intact statues on the right side as you enter the gateway. The denomination, "1," is printed in English within a similar border. At the top left and bottom left of the border, the denomination "1" is also printed in English, but in smaller font. In the center, there are images of Pharaonic statues surrounded by hieroglyphs and murals. At the top, it reads "Central Bank of Egypt" in English, and below, "One Egyptian Pound" in English. Within these decorative elements, at the bottom right, is "l.e," which stands for "livre égyptienne" in French and means "Egyptian pound." Condition of the Banknote:The banknote is in damaged condition. There is blue ink scribble with an unknown number, and adhesive tape wraps around the center of both sides. I received it in this condition from my father. Despite the damage, the famous watermark of a seated scribe is clearly visible. (Note: Since the time of Khufu, many people in tombs were depicted in the pose of a reader or scribe.) Sentimental Value:This banknote was very valuable in its time and could purchase many things. Due to its high value, it was not widely circulated and was known for its beautiful design. While I have an older 25 piastres note in better condition, this one holds a special place in my collection as it was the first paper money my father gave me when he found some hidden money For your security and ours, the packing and shipping processes are video recorded. He inherited it from my grandfather, who was a merchant and used to take my father with him when he was young. My father used to take these coins from a money drawer without knowing their value or purpose, and he would simply put them on a shelf. Time passed, and my father forgot about the coins until about four years ago when he found them hidden and remembered the story. He gave me the coins and told me the story, saying, "Take them, and if you want to sell them, go ahead." I promised him I would, and I was thinking about the best way to do that, but I left the coins aside because I didn't find the right way until his passing two years ago. Then I remembered my promise to him, and here I am fulfilling it after finding the right way. The collection I have is very small, about (25 coins) and (2 paper) bills, totaling (27 pieces). They are few, but they are very dear to me. I will be selling them here on the site, one coin at a time, until the collection is exhausted. My father's name is Ahmed My name is Mohamed Thank you.
