Description: Night by Valentino VTG Black & Gold Dress w Velvet Waistband S/M 28 inch waist This amazing vintage dress has large shoulder pads with batwing sleeves. The blouson top closes at the neckline with a single button and is open to the waist. The skirt part of the dress has a zipper to the top of the velvet waistband which has looped buttons. Fabric is double layered but is very sheer. There is no fabric content tag, my best guess is that it is silk inside and out. The size is marked as size 12 but it is likely closer to a modern size 4-6. Measuring the waistband from the inside it is 28 inches, the hip measures about 37 inches. The nape of neck to the end is 37” but keep in mind that it is designed to blouse over at the waistband so it is going to actually be a bit shorter. I do accept returns within 30 days of purchase as I know that it is hard to judge fit on clothing with vintage sizing being even harder to guess. If you are going to give this gorgeous dress a try I ask that you please remove any jewelry and take extra care when handling this vintage dress.
