The pin is in excellent overall condition with its ORIGINAL Navajo Guild purchase tag attached. Wonderful patina! Weighs 27 grams This pin bears the seal of the guild which was founded in 1940 on the Navajo Nation and set the highest standards for authenticity, materials and workmanship. Individual silversmiths were not allowed to sign Navajo Guild pieces, they could only be marked with the official “Horned Sun” hallmark of the NACG and, often, the word "NAVAJO" The works of the Guild are characterized by a high-level of quality, the use of classic Navajo silversmithing techniques and materials, with clean, elegant, often modern lines, and restrained in its use of stamp, chisel and file work.
