Description: We are offering a vintage McCoy Cookie Jar. It is number 144 made between 1958-1960. The lid is the brown part of the cookie jar and the cork is a real cork. It appears to be original. The cookie jar can be seen on page 70 of Sanford's Guide to McCoy Pottery 1997. The cookie jar is clean as a whistle inside with no crazing on the inside or outside. The brown paint on the Cookie Jar writing is flaking off as appears to be typical. The piece is unmarked. There is a chip on the lid that can be seen in the photo gallery. The base appear free of chips. There is a spot on the rim of the base where there is an absence of glaze but it does not appear to be a chip. This is a nice cookie jar from a time when mom stayed home and baked cookies while dad went off to work and the kids went off to school. We offer FREE standard shipping to all states except Alaska and Hawaii.
