Description: 8x10 Vintage B&W glossy photograph signed "For Jim Wiggins-It is nice to be remembered. Thank You Mae Clarke 1983" in black felt tip ink. Minor staining, otherwise, in very good condition. (1910-1992) Mae Clarke was an American actress. She is widely remembered for playing Henry Frankenstein's bride Elizabeth, who is chased by Boris Karloff in Frankenstein, and for being on the receiving end of James Cagney's halved grapefruit in The Public Enemy. Both films were released in 1931. This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
