Description: These original 1940’s - 50’s soaps are a unique piece of hotel advertising memorabilia, featuring the iconic Hilton Hotels brand. In good condition with light surface wear from age. Lot of 3 including - The Roosevelt Hotel located in Manhattan’s 45th Street ( between Madison & Vanderbilt Avenues. Named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt. Developed in 1924 by two railroad companies and built above Grand Central Terminal underground railway. Several structures were built above the tracks during the early 20th century included the Marguery & Biltmore hotels. Hilton took over management in 1943 and sold it to Hotel Corporation of America in 1956. It was sold to other buyers since and in operation. The hotel closed in 2020 due to the pandemic. It reopened in 2023 as a shelter for asylum seekers. I acquired these from a large 1940s 50s collection and they are perfect for collectors of hotel and motel themed items. these soaps are a rare find and add a unique touch to any collection.
